Hiroshima

Hiroshima, by Laurence Yep, is a book for children 8- 11 years old. This book is about the fictitious account of a young twelve year old named Sachi. She is alive when the bombing of Hiroshima happened. During the bombing, she lost her father, was the only one to survive in her class, and hid in her house for months. Sachi had experienced dead bodies and excruciating pain. At the end of the book, Sachi and her fellow survivors get the courage to rebuild and grow.
