Jamaica Tag-Along

Jamaica Tag-Along is a multicultural book about a girl named Jamaica and her brother Ossie. This book is written by Juanita Havill and illustrated by Anne Sibley O'Brien. This book is for grades pre-k to 2nd grade. Jamaica wanted to tag along with her brother to play Ossie but, he wouldn't allow her too. She ended up playing with a little boy Berto. Although Berto made a mess, Jamaica still wanted him to play with her because she didn't like feeling left out. At the end of the book, Ossie asked to join and Jamaica said yes. She didn't mind if her brother tagged along. I would use this book to talk about feelings and how to treat others with respect.
