The Extinct Alphabet Book

The Extinct Alphabet Book is Nonfiction book about the non extinct animals that crawled and crept upon the Earth. This book is by Jerry Pallotta and illustrated by Ralph Masiello. This book is for readers, pre-k to 2nd grade. From A to Z there are animals and their descriptions on what they looked like and unique features about them. This book is great for showing that there are plenty of other animals that are extinct besides dinosaurs. Throughout most of the book, the reason for most extinctions is from obstruction of their's habitats. Most of the time, humans are the ones to blame. This book would be great for explaining adaptations in animals, human influence on animal life, while incorporating the alphabet to the book. This could broaden the minds of students.
