The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz written by L. Frank Braum and narrated by Tituss Burgess is an audio book that brings the magic and fun to this delightful story. Intended for 12 years and up children; this story is a girl named Dorothy and her dog, Toto, that gets swept into a tornado and lands into a magical land of Oz. While trying to get home, she has to face a witch. She does find a band of friends along the way. Dorothy, a scarecrow, a tin man, a line, and Toto travel to Emerald city to get what their desires are. At the end of the story, Dorothy makes it home and realizes everything was just a dream. This book is a great story to have as a listen to. Tituss Burgess is so lively and this book would be take students on an imaginative journey. This is would paired nicely with a lesson about fictional books.
