Two Dogs in a Trench Coat Go to School is a fiction book about two dogs going to school to make sure their owner, Stewart, is not going to have a boring day of school. This book is 2019-2020 Texas Bluebonnet award book that is written by Julie Falatko and illustrated by Colin Jack. Sassy and Waldo (the dogs) dress up in trench coat and head out to Bea Arthur Elementary School to be a transfer student, Salty, from Liver, Ohio. Everyone knew that, except Stewart of course! Sassy and Waldo discover that school smells like sweaty gym socks and toilets are not supposed to used for water at Bea Arthur Elementary school. At the end of the story, Stewart, Sassy, and Waldo makes it home and they all fall asleep. This book would not be used for classroom discussion but for individual reading time. This is fun book to ready for 8-12 year old children.
