Charlotte's Web

Born as a runt, Wilbur was not supposed to survive. Fern Arable adopted him and took him in. Mr. Arable allowed her too but he knew that eventually Wilbur will be taken away to be slaughtered. When Wilbur grew up strong, Mr. Arable sent him to his brother's farm. Wilbur becomes lonely and befriends the spider in the barn named, Charlotte, and the other barn animals. He learned his fate of being slaughtered, Charlotte the spider spun webs to make Wilbur famous. As time progressed he did. Mr. Zuckerman, Mr.Arable's brother, didn't send him to the slaughter because of the attention he was getting. At the end of the story, Charlotte spins a nests of her babies so that when she dies her babies can spin webs for Wilbur so he can live a long life. This book is called, Charlotte's Web by E.B. White and illustrated by Garth Williams. This book for 10 year old children and up is a Newbery Honor Award winner. This is another great book club book. I remember reading this b
